Vocal Coach/Owner of Sing House Studios/Singer/Songwriter Chantal Hackett swings by our studio, shares her favourite moments & tips as a singer.

Chantal Hackett is the Owner and Creator of Sing House Studios. She is also a singer/songwriter and vocal coach. She has over sixteen years of experience teaching and performing.
Her journey has come a long way: she released two albums “My City at Christmas” and “Decision”. Her most recent work, her EP “Ready for the Fall”, was released on iTunes in early 2017. She also attended L’école secondaire publique De La Salle in Ottawa and was enrolled in the specialized voice program where she got the opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City, at the United Nations in Vienna and even sang backup vocals for Juno nominated singers Roch Voisine and David Gogo. She was also in a Motown band for over five years where she performed all over Ottawa and beyond. In 2010 she was asked to perform with her vocal student Alex Lacasse, who was signed to Universal Music Canada at high profile events which also featured performers like Nelly Furtado, Danny Fernandez, Emily Osment and Alyssa Reid. In 2011-2012 she wrote and recorded over 20 songs with her former band, and even went to Nashville and Atlanta to work with well-known songwriters.
In 2012, she has performed at the Do More Canada Showcase and was part of the opening act at the Sparks Street New Years Eve concert, opening for the Arkells. She has been a one of a kind mentor to her students and continues to work towards her dream.
In addition to having graduated at the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Arts with a specialization in Communication, Chantal is also fluently bilingual and has volunteered at the AOE Arts Council located in the Shenkman Arts Centre and at hundreds of other organizations. She is devoted to her students and to her community.
