Hundreds of local artists will be lining up to audition on April 26th, 2014 at
the Novotel Ottawa, located at 33 Nicholas St., between 8:00am-5:00pm. All this for a
shot at showcasing their skills at the Centrepointe Theatre on Saturday, May 24th, 2014,
in front of friends, family and some of Canada’s top music agents.
“Very few of our talented participants have ever performed at a sold out concert
venue”, says Talent Nation Executive Producer Mike Goldfarb. “What makes it even
more special is that they have the opportunity to get their music heard in front of
decision-makers, talent scouts and A&R executives.”
Participants are linked up with top music industry professionals for intense development
that spans over 5-consecutive weeks. These instructors are there to consult and guide
on stage presence, vocals and image in preparation for the live show.
Goldfarb adds: “Very different from a typical talent show, this experience provides young
artists with a sample taste of the everyday hustle that comes with being a pro. We don’t
just audition the contestants and throw them into the fire. We work with each act to
develop their confidence and composure, giving give them the ultimate shot at getting
discovered.”
This year’s production will feature an eclectic mix of musical talent, ages 21 and younger,
ranging from vocalists, musicians, bands, rappers and dancers.
