Chantal Hackett

Founder | Master Vocal Coach | Mentor | Professional Vocalist

“She didn’t just build a studio; she built the home she needed when she was starting out.”

For Chantal Hackett, music was never just a hobby; it was a lifeline. Having battled a lifelong anxiety disorder, she found that while the world often felt overwhelming, her voice—first discovered singing in church as a child—was the one thing that stayed steady. By the age of 13, her passion was undeniable, providing a sense of loyalty and energy she couldn’t find anywhere else. Eventually, Chantal realized her true purpose went beyond the stage: she was meant to use her gift to help others navigate their own nerves and discover their best selves.

Chantal’s career is built on a rigorous academic and musical foundation. A graduate of the prestigious Vocal Excellence Program at L’école secondaire publique De La Salle, she achieved her Royal Conservatory of Music (Level 10) and earned a Bachelor of Arts (Specialization in Communication) from the University of Ottawa.

This elite training led her to some of the world’s most iconic stages, including Carnegie Hall in New York City and the United Nations in ViennaWhether performing as a backup vocalist for Juno-nominated artists Roch Voisine and David Gogo, or spending a decade as a lead soloist in a Motown band, Chantal has spent over 20 years commanding the spotlight.

As a professional entertainer, Chantal is often described as a diamond that fulfills the four “C’s”: color, cut, clarity, and carat. She is a versatile powerhouse—a professional singer, experienced emcee, and public speaker who has facilitated hundreds of events with signature charm. Fully bilingual in English and French, she also performs in German and Italian.

From singing the national anthem at Ottawa Redblacks and Ottawa Fury games to opening the TD Place Ottawa Christmas Market Tree Lighting Ceremony for a crowd of 8,000 people, Chantal brings a sophisticated "sparkle" to every stage. Alongside her band, she delivers everything from soulful ballads like Etta James’ “At Last” to modern hits like Dua Lipa’s “Love Again.”

What started two decades ago in her mother Suzanne’s living room has evolved into Sing House Studios (SHS)Today, Chantal wears many hats as the visionary behind this bilingual hub, focusing on high-level studio programming and her exclusive mentorship of the SHS Troop Program.

Recognizing that the industry has changed since she first started, Chantal developed the Troop Program to provide a rare and necessary platform for local talent to shine. It serves as a bridge, giving young performers the professional opportunities they need to grow into independent artists. Beyond development, the Troop is rooted in Chantal's mission of "using talent for good." Through entertainment sponsorships and dozens of shows annually, Chantal and her students have played a vital role in helping amass millions of dollars for charitable causes over the last 20 years.

Chantal’s impact as a mentor is seen in the global success of her students. Most notably in 2026, two artists she has coached for years, Alycia Kayley and Nayana, were selected to perform at Ottawa Bluesfest—a testament to the long-term artist development and professional platform provided at SHS.

When she isn’t at the studio or on stage, Chantal enjoys life in the Ottawa Valley with her husband Brock, her daughter Lucie-Anne, her supportive mother Suzanne, and her three beloved fur babies, Nova, Charlie and Mini.
