Thinaaya Mahanama

Thinaaya is a Grade 12 student from Ottawa who loves music. She has been playing piano and singing for almost her whole life. She started taking private piano lessons at 5 years old and has completed her level 8 RCM Exam (Royal Conservatory of Music).

Thinaaya loves performing and participating in music events. She has competed and placed in the "Kiwanis Music Festival" and performed in many local piano recitals. She has also received awards for practical and theory exams.

Thinaaya is also involved in the music programs at school, where she plays the alto saxophone and is a part of an award-winning vocal jazz group. She has also been a singing student at Singhouse Studios for over 3 years. There's never a day without music for her.

On the side, Thinaaya enjoys playing, watching and refereeing basketball and tutors French.

Thinaaya can't wait to share her musical knowledge and create a fun experience with students!
