However, it wasn't until he reached the age of 19 that he fully embraced his passion for becoming a singer-songwriter. Through his participation in coffee house events and open mic nights, Dan began to establish himself in the music scene.

Despite his experience playing in rock, reggae, and metal bands, Dan's heart has always been drawn to acoustic music. Even in those early days, acoustic songs found their way into his playlist, fueling his desire to pursue the genre he loves today.

Dan draws inspiration from a diverse range of musical genres, but his main influences lie within the acoustic singer-songwriter realm. Artists like City and Colour, Donovan Woods, Gregory Alan Isakov, and Iron & Wine have greatly impacted his own musical style. Additionally, Dan has a deep appreciation for pop icons such as Pink, while also admiring the artistry of contemporary artists like Billie Eilish, Harry Styles, and the Weeknd.

Over the past few years, Dan has had the privilege of sharing the stage with renowned Canadian songwriters who have served as a tremendous source of inspiration. Furthermore, Dan has had the honor of performing at the esteemed Marvest folk festival on two separate occasions.

What sets Dan apart as a music teacher is his genuine interest in the unique learning journeys and diverse perspectives of his students. He believes that by embracing different approaches to music, one can continuously grow and evolve as a musician.

Beyond his music career, Dan enjoys immersing himself in outdoor activities. He finds solace in hiking, fishing, and spending time near bodies of water. On rainy days, he indulges in his other passions, such as watching captivating movies or losing himself in the virtual worlds of his Nintendo Switch.
