Meet Ella, a multi-talented singer-songwriter, composer, and recording artist who holds a B.Mus from Carleton University. Her love for learning and passion for music has taken her on an incredible journey.

Starting with Chinese classical folk singing styles, Ella's musical odyssey has spanned across diverse genres, including Chinese opera, mellow pop, jazz, and music theatre. Her experiences in dance, stage management, marketing, and visual art have enriched her musical prowess.

Throughout her career, Ella has seized exceptional opportunities, collaborating with world-renowned performers and music scholars. Notably, she led the Jasmine Ensemble in Beijing, worked with ancient Chinese music and poetry scholars from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and Yibin University, and contributed to the Ottawa Trans-Pacific Orchestra.

As a former member and co-director of the Ottawa Trans-Pacific Orchestra, Ella graced renowned venues like the National Arts Centre and the Chinese Embassy. Her vocal talents garnered recognition, winning 1st place in the "Water Cube Cup" singing contest and earning a spot in the top ten of the "Sing! China" talent show.

Ella's debut EP "Love Won't Fade" was released in August 2020, showcasing her artistry and originality. Currently, she is dedicated to fusing Eastern and Western styles by collaborating with musicians from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Not only a gifted performer, Ella finds joy in teaching music. Since 2014, she has been officially sharing her knowledge in music theory, songwriting, vocal coaching, and choir group coaching. Her patient, kind, and charismatic approach creates a nurturing environment for her students to grow and excel.

Ella's passion for music shines brightly in every aspect of her life, making her an inspiring and dynamic presence in the world of music and education.
