SHS Spotlight Troop

The SHS Spotlight Troop is made up of some of Sing House Studios' advanced students and is by invitation only. These up-incoming artists are ready to entertain! This is not a “band” class but rather a rehearsal once a week to prepare for the many exclusive Troop-Only show opportunities.  Troop members work with our top coaches…and have loads of fun!

Are you interested in:

• Singing, singing, singing…as much time on stage as possible?
• Learning from like-minded singers who are all committed to producing an amazing show every time?
• Learning the difference between being a singer and being a performer? How to “own” a crowd, have stage presence, how to move on stage (and I mean move it baby!)

Work with our Master Coaches, Chantal Hackett and Erica Brighthill.

What’s included:

• 4-hour group rehearsals/month (1 hour once a week)
• Mentorship - Hands-on experience backstage, with audio and video, and emceeing
• Expand vocal repertoire by learning new songs and genres
• Building connections with the Ottawa music and business communities
• Perform at community events and VIP opportunities
• Combination of duos, trios, group and solo performances (if enough practice by participants and time based around other shows)
• Perform in the SHS Showcases, specifically the holiday and end of year show at the Shenkman Arts Centre

Cost: Program Cost + min. Bi-Weekly private lesson with an SHS vocal coach of your choice.

Commitment: Ten-month whole season commitment required (September to June)
