Maria is proof that you can be a technical powerhouse and a modern performer at the same time. A multi-award-winning musician and Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) Gold Medalist, Maria brings a perfect blend of high-level training and a genuine love for today’s music—from the indie-rock of the Arctic Monkeys to the pop-rock anthems of Olivia Rodrigo.

Maria’s musical journey began at the age of three. Over a decade later, her dedication has earned her some of the highest honors in the industry, including:

  • RCM Gold Medal: Awarded for perfect marks on her Level 5 vocal exam.

  • Performance Excellence: 1st Place at the Unionville Music Competition (Self-Accompanied Voice).

  • Composition & Theory: 2nd Place at the Kiwanis Music Festival for Music Composition.

  • Local Impact: Recipient of the Leading Women and Girls in Orleans award for her volunteerism and community performances.

Maria believes that learning is most rewarding when you understand the mechanics behind the music. Her coaching philosophy centers on fostering a genuine love for the craft while building a rock-solid foundation in theory and technique.

In Maria's studio, students don't just learn "how" to play a scale or execute a vocal run; they learn "why" it matters. This approach turns her students into well-rounded musicians who can tackle everything from RCM classical exams to Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter hits.

With real-world experience headlining conferences and performing at the Ottawa Christmas Market Tree Lighting Ceremony, Maria knows exactly what it takes to step into the spotlight. She is passionate about helping her students build the same stage presence and confidence she uses in her own live sets.

When she isn’t at the studio, Maria is likely dancing (she’s trained in ballet, jazz, and lyrical), kayaking on a sunny afternoon, or reading up on psychology and history. She brings this same multi-dimensional energy to every lesson, ensuring her students feel encouraged, challenged, and—most importantly—inspired.
