SHS Spotlight Troop

The SHS Spotlight Troop is made up of Sing House Studios' students who are most passionate about performing and is by invitation only. These talented, up-and-coming artists are ready to shine on stage! This isn’t a “band” class—it's a weekly 60-minute rehearsal focused on preparing for exclusive Troop-only performance opportunities. Troop members work with our top coaches and have a blast while doing it!

Are you interested in:

- Singing, singing, and more singing—getting as much stage time as possible?  

- Learning from like-minded singers who are committed to delivering an amazing show every time?  

- Discovering the difference between being a singer and a true performer—how to captivate an audience, own the stage, and move like a pro?  

- Working with our Master Coaches, Chantal Hackett and Erica Brighthill?  

What’s included:

- 60-minute group rehearsals once a week  

- Mentorship—hands-on experience backstage, with audio and video, and emceeing  

- Expanding vocal repertoire with new songs and genres  

- Building connections with the Ottawa music and business communities  

- Performing at community events and VIP opportunities  

- A mix of duos, trios, group, and solo performances (depending on practice and show schedules)  

- All-Access Youth Ultimate Showcase Pass

Cost: Program cost + minimum bi-weekly private lesson with an SHS vocal coach of your choice.  

Commitment: Ten-month season (September to June)
